CC&C was established in Lincolnton, NC in 2014. The office is located in the historical Abernethy building. The building is now the perfect space for CC&C to offer residents their services in a convenient location. At CC&C we provide a safe, non-judgemental, warm environment to help you find the deeper meaning in your personal journey. 

Meet Our Staff:


Kelly L Charles is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of NC, a Licnesed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice (LISW-CP) in the state of SC, and Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist (CSOTS) specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, and sex offender treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. She also provides clinical supervision for LCSWA professionals. Kelly is the Clinical Director at CC&C and also provides psychotherapy. She is originally from Lincolnton but has maintained a home in Charlotte for fourteen years. Since she was a young child she has had the desire to help others. Kelly is eager to assist individuals in get on a path to a healthier life. In her free time Kelly enjoys traveling, reading a good murder mystery, and spending time with her family. 

With over eight years experience in the field, and as a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) specializing in Social Work, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. During her tenure at UNCC she studied social work abroad in Guanajuato, Mexico to broaden her knowledge in the field.  Kelly has recently traveled abroad to South Korea and served as a Military Family Life Counselor and provided therapy services to families on military installations. While abroad, she worked with the Army and Air Force where she honed her skills in working with active duty military, Veterans, and their families.

Kelly is an interactive, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. Her passion is to assist individuals with finding joy and balance in their lives. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Letisha Allen is Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) who specializes in the treatment of individuals, couples and families on a broad spectrum. Mrs. Allen joined Charles Counseling and Consulting in 2018 at the Lincolnton, NC location. She has worn many hats in her career that includes but is not limited to the treatment of youthful offenders, blended families and foster and adoptive children and families. Mrs. Allen believes that her career path is of “divine order” and over time she embraced the gift of helping others by teaching, modeling and serving. She believes that all people can be legendary and live life to the fullest.    

Mrs. Allen’s professional counseling career began in 2001 as a youth treatment specialist, mentor and volunteer big sister at a residential treatment facility for at risk youth, youthful offenders and wards of the court.  She completed a practicum at the Mecklenburg County Jail where she created an eight week psychosocial curriculum to the counseling group of youthful offenders. Mrs. Allen worked for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools as a long-term substitute teacher and is currently employed through North Carolina’s Department of Public Safety. Her professional career includes working in the areas of mental health, case coordination and case management, training curriculum development and delivery, advocacy and crisis intervention.  

Mrs. Allen’s theoretical orientations are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Reality Therapy. Her therapeutic approach is to help individuals recognize their strengths and gain confidence to achieve realistic goals. Mrs. Allen says, “I believe in providing good, quality, reliable services to people with dignity, respect, compassion and understanding. Through divine order, I want to help others live a healthy fulfilled life.”
